Jack William Francisco , 72 Jul 12, 1946 - Nov 20, 2018 Jack William Francisco, 72, of Boonsboro, MD, died Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at his home. Born July 12, 1946 in Stockton, CA, he is the son of the late Manuel Carey and Beatrice Hilda Ferreira Francisco. Mr. Francisco married his high school sweetheart, Marylynn Schweitzer, on December 23, 1967 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Stockton, CA. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Christopher Jon Francisco of Boonsboro, MD, and his daughter, Nicole Marie Corson of Smithburg, MD, as well as his grandchildren, the "love of his life", Myah Francisco, Mason Francisco, Izabell (Izzy) Corson, Halo Francisco, and Anastasia Deerfield. He was preceded in death by a son, Jack William Francisco, Jr. and a brother, Daniel Francisco. He was a 1964 graduate of Franklin High School, a graduate of San Joaquin Delta College, and a 1976 graduate of Humphrey's Law School, all of Stockton, CA. He worked for the Department of Defense for over 40 years, starting his career in 1965 as a student intern and continuing his federal career at Sharpe's Army Depot; Tracy Defense Depot; Rough and Ready Island, all of CA, The Cameron Station; Defense Logistics Agency Headquarters, all of Virginia. In 1987, Jack relocated his family to Alexandria, VA, and accepted a management analyst position, where he served on a variety of projects. Before he retired, Jack served on two different Base Realignment and Closure Commissions (BRAC), 1995 and 2005 to investigate and make recommendations to the commission. Jack retired from the Defense Logistics Agency, Ft Belvoir, VA on October 1, 2005. Jack enjoyed being a toastmaster and receiving many awards for table topics, spontaneous and a variety of speeches. He loved fishing with his children, loved to attend tractor and equipment auctions up and down the East coast. He loved to go fishing and vacation with his family and grandchildren in Myrtle Beach every summer. And most of all he enjoyed his recent cruise up the East coast with his daughter's family and grandchildren. The family would like to thank the many medical professionals who cared for Jack at the Meritus Medical Center in the Emergency and Intensive Care units. There will be a Memorial Celebration in the Spring of 2019. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
